Tri grew up in Illinois and attended the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, where he studied mathematics and computer science. He started the CSEM PhD program in Fall 2023. His research interests include applied mathematics, machine learning, and inverse problems. He is also the Junior Esports Director at Longhorn Gaming.
